This initiative, part of Kōdansha's commitment to indie game development through its Game Lab, seeks to harness the unique creativity of Roblox creators by inviting submissions for original experiences across any theme or genre. The emphasis is on showcasing individuality and artistic innovation.

Contest Highlights

1. Grand Prize for All Ages: The top award in the open category will see winners taking home a staggering 1 million yen. Up to three grand prize winners will be chosen, alongside up to ten recipients of excellence awards, each receiving 500,000 yen. Additionally, winners will receive not only monetary rewards but also the invaluable support of Kōdansha's editorial team for project development and a robust coaching program offered by GeekOut.
2. U15 Category: Focusing on younger talent, a special category for participants aged 15 and under is also included. The grand prize here comes with 50,000 Robux, while excellence awardees are set to win 10,000 Robux. Notably, those under 15 can register for both categories, giving them the opportunity to win in both.
3. Media Mix Opportunities: Winning entries will be considered for Kōdansha’s media mix strategy, potentially leading to new projects like manga adaptations, blending gaming and storytelling creatively.

• - Submission Period: The contest runs from early January to the end of February 2026.
• - Announcement of Winners: Results will be publicly disclosed in April 2026 via Kōdansha Game Lab's official X account and website.
• - Eligibility: Open to anyone proficient in Japanese, regardless of their professional status—be it amateur or professional, individual or corporate. However, participants under 18 must have consent from their guardians. Submissions must feature original experiences published on Roblox after December 1, 2025, and remain active until the announcement date.
• - Application Process: Interested creators can apply through a dedicated Google Form.
