iFlow Chooses Made4net's WMS for Enhanced Growth and Automation
Made4net, a well-respected provider of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), has announced an exciting partnership with iFlow, a top fourth-party logistics operator in Argentina and South America. This strategic alliance aims to enhance iFlow's operations with a modern WMS, replacing their outdated system to meet the demands of their expanding customer base. iFlow is on a mission to streamline their operational processes, laying the groundwork for future automation like robotic picking and advanced system integrations.
Located in Buenos Aires, iFlow manages an impressive array of logistics services from five strategically situated warehouses. With over 24,000 storage positions available across diverse environments, such as frozen, chilled, and dry storage, the company caters to more than 750 supermarkets and over 7,000 retail outlets. Their wide-ranging expertise includes everything from inventory management and labeling to international shipping, ensuring full traceability of products. iFlow is also deeply involved in e-commerce, cross-border logistics, and international transportation, extending their services across Chile, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
As iFlow’s customer base continues to expand, so too does the complexity of their operational requirements. This growth prompted them to seek a more advanced and flexible WMS solution. After thoroughly evaluating more than ten potential providers, iFlow ultimately selected Made4net due to its adaptability, scalability, and customized workflow capabilities tailored to meet the diverse needs of its client portfolio.
Guillermo Peccia, iFlow's Chief Information Officer, shared insights into this decision-making process, explaining that their legacy WMS had served its purpose but was no longer sufficient for their rapid growth. He emphasized that Made4net not only met their critical operational needs, but also offered the flexibility for system adjustments and customizations without requiring complex development work. The responsiveness and deep understanding of logistics that Made4net demonstrated during the evaluation process were instrumental in their selection.
With the implementation of Made4net's WMS, iFlow plans to enhance its batch and expiration control and utilize various picking methods. The new system will be integrated with over 30 internal and external platforms, including its Order Management System (OMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and customer platforms. The readiness of Made4net's system for future automation was a standout feature, with plans laid for the integration of picking robots and other sophisticated technologies in the near future.
Peccia noted the necessity of adaptability in the rapidly evolving logistics sector, stating, “Made4net gives us the tools to move faster, work smarter, and prepare for what’s next.” This partnership signifies a critical step forward for iFlow as they aim to remain at the forefront of the logistics industry in Argentina and beyond.
