Award-Winning AI: 'Ututor'

Digital Hollywood, a prominent player in the digital content education sector, has collaborated with neoAI, a start-up emerging from the University of Tokyo's Matsuo Laboratory, to develop a cutting-edge AI focused on creative education named 'Ututor'. This innovative AI recently received the Excellence Award at the Generative AI Awards 2025, organized by the Generative AI Japan association in conjunction with Nikkei Business.

About the Generative AI Awards

Launched last year, the Generative AI Awards aims to recognize exemplary uses of generative AI technology. The 2025 edition saw an impressive increase in applications, with more than 113 entities participating. Evaluated by a panel of experts in the field, submissions were reviewed based on five criteria: problem setting and implementation, impact, governance, and future potential. Out of these, eight finalists, including neoAI, were selected for final judgment.

Introducing 'Ututor'

The name 'Ututor' is a blend of the words ‘Unlimited’ and ‘Tutor’, reflecting its purpose as an endless resource for creators to receive feedback on their work, regardless of time or location. This unique platform aims to support students and learners in various creative disciplines by providing objective evaluations and constructive critiques.

Development of Ututor began in October 2024, with the beta version launched in June 2025. Following that, it entered full operation in October 2025, specifically in four areas: CG, graphic design, web design, and video production.

Role of neoAI in the Project

In this partnership, neoAI took the lead in developing and constructing the AI system for Ututor. Utilizing advanced generative AI technologies capable of image and video analysis, neoAI crafted a high-precision evaluation system tailored for creative outputs. Collaborating closely with Digital Hollywood's educators, the AI was programmed with evaluation standards and feedback mechanisms that match the unique requirements of creative education.

Moreover, neoAI implemented a video materials recommendation system using RAG technology, integrating it with Digital Hollywood's video platform 'Any' to ensure students receive the most suitable educational content.

By embedding the expertise of real-world practitioners from Digital Hollywood into the AI, Ututor effectively delivers high-accuracy feedback that is challenging to achieve with generic large language models (LLMs).
