Experience a 10-Day Canadian Winter School Adventure in 2026

Discover the Canadian Winter School 10-Day Program

In an exciting collaboration, Plus One Education, a subsidiary of Riso Education Group based in Tokyo, is set to host a memorable "Canadian Winter School" program from December 27, 2026, to January 5, 2027. Designed for children aged 8 to 17, this program takes participants on a thrilling journey through two of Canada’s largest cities, Montreal and Toronto, offering them the opportunity to engage with peers from around the world while enhancing their English language skills in an immersive environment.

A Unique Learning Experience

Throughout this ten-day adventure, students will experience life in a safe and comfortable setting with lodging in dormitories or hotels. Each day is packed with English lessons and various activities, ensuring that participants are surrounded by the English language. The program aims to not only improve language abilities but also promote international awareness through cultural exchange.

Continuous Support and Communication

One of the standout features of the Canadian Winter School is the presence of a designated group leader who will accompany students from departure to return. This leader offers daily updates to parents, providing insights into their children's participation in lessons and activities, as well as their interaction with other students. Parents can expect timely reports detailing their child's progress and any concerns raised, ensuring that safety and well-being are paramount throughout the experience.

Highlights of the Program

1. Engage in Cross-Cultural Exchange

Participants will have the chance to interact with students from diverse backgrounds, including those from South America and Europe, fostering meaningful conversations in English. With Japanese participants making up a mere 2% of the attendees in previous years, this program stands out as a unique opportunity to broaden horizons. Furthermore, students from the U.S. and Australia often join to enhance their French language skills.

2. Customized English Lessons and Winter Activities

Each morning, students will attend level-specific English lessons, while afternoons will be reserved for fun winter activities, allowing them to practice their language skills in a real-world context. From bowling to tubing and snowman-building, participants will thoroughly enjoy the Canadian winter experience. The English lessons will be conducted by BLI Language School, focusing on project-based learning in areas like art and technology.

3. Celebrate the New Year in Niagara Falls

An exciting extension of the program includes a mini-trip to Toronto from January 1 to 3, where students will explore iconic destinations such as Niagara Falls. This trip not only provides a chance to witness breathtaking views but also serves as a farewell gathering for participants to reflect on their memories.
