Visiting Angels Appoints a New President
Visiting Angels, recognized as the leading provider of senior home care in the United States, has announced the appointment of Scott Parrish as its new President. This strategic move comes as the company transitions into a new era of growth and commitment to providing compassionate care to seniors. With nearly two decades of experience at Visiting Angels, Parrish is well-equipped to lead the brand into its next chapter.
Scott Parrish's journey with Visiting Angels began in 2008 when he joined the company as its first General Manager. Under his guidance, he was quickly promoted to the role of Executive Vice President, where he played an essential part in integrating various corporate departments to ensure the franchise owners received the support they needed. His extensive experience within the organization has granted him a profound understanding of Visiting Angels' mission and the needs of its franchise network.
Before joining Visiting Angels, Parrish served in the United States Navy for over 21 years, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility, including officer and Naval Aviator. His military background has instilled in him a strong sense of leadership and dedication, which aligns perfectly with the values that Visiting Angels upholds.
In his first statement after assuming the role of President, Parrish reflected on his tenure at Visiting Angels, emphasizing the familial culture that has been cultivated throughout the years. “Visiting Angels has always been more than a company to me; it's a mission I believe in deeply. I am proud to be part of a team that manages to deliver exceptional care while maintaining a close-knit family atmosphere,” Parrish stated. This commitment to maintaining the company's unique culture will be a guiding principle as he leads.
Larry Meigs, the founder of Visiting Angels, will remain as Chief Executive Officer, collaborating with Parrish on the company's growth and strategic direction. Meigs praised Parrish's commitment and leadership style, saying, “Scott isn't just an extraordinary leader he's a brilliant representative of everything Visiting Angels strives to be. His dedication to our values, caregivers, and the families trusting us is commendable.”
As Visiting Angels celebrates over 25 years of trusted service in home care, the company continues to focus on helping older adults maintain their independence while receiving personalized care in the comfort of their homes. With more than 600 locations nationwide, Visiting Angels provides a range of services from companionship to specialized care, ensuring their clients receive the support they need to thrive.
In light of his appointment, Parrish has outlined his goals as President: to enhance value for franchise owners, focus on caregiver needs, and explore innovative uses of technology to streamline operations and improve service delivery. “As we move forward, my goal is to increase our value to our owners while ushering in the next generation of owners who share our values into the Visiting Angels family,” he explained.
Under Parrish's leadership, Visiting Angels seeks to build on its legacy of exceptional care and commitment to its core mission. The company remains dedicated to promoting dignity and compassion as foundational aspects of its services, ensuring that every family feels supported throughout their care journey.
