Celebrating Mental Health: PWC's 2025 Inspiration Gala for NYC Youth

2025 Inspiration Gala: A Celebration of Hope and Support for NYC Youth

On May 29, 2025, the Partnership with Children (PWC) will host the 2025 Inspiration Gala at Pier 60 in New York City. This prestigious event aims to raise awareness and support for mental health among schoolchildren in New York City, with a special focus on those from underserved communities. As a 117-year-old nonprofit organization, PWC has been at the forefront of enhancing the mental well-being and emotional resilience of children facing significant challenges.

The gala will honor two distinguished leaders in the realm of business and social advocacy: Stephanie Drescher, Partner and Chief Client and Product Development Officer at Apollo Global Management, and Deva Bronson, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Brand Assurance at dentsu. Their work exemplifies the commitment to uplifting the community through meaningful initiatives and partnerships.

Emceed by Kristine Johnson, a well-known anchor from WCBS-TV, the evening will draw about 500 dedicated supporters from various sectors, including business, government, and education. This gathering serves as a celebration of PWC’s achievements in fostering student success and community engagement.

Wesner Pierre, PWC's CEO, passionately remarked, “Partnership with Children is proud to be at the forefront of addressing one of the most pressing issues of our time: the mental health and wellness of children who face the greatest difficulties. Through the generous support of our community, we equip them to become the leaders in the vibrant city they belong to.”

PWC's Distinctive Approach to Mental Health

PWC employs a unique strategy to support mental health in schools. The organization integrates licensed clinical social workers and youth development specialists into educational environments, providing mental health counseling, family support, and programs designed for healing through the arts. This multifaceted approach not only addresses immediate mental health needs but also fosters long-term social and emotional growth.

During the gala, guests will partake in a thrilling experience featuring Krista Kim, a leading digital artist known for her immersive art presented in high-profile venues such as Times Square and The Sphere in Las Vegas. Kim’s work highlights the significance of mental health and well-being, creating a powerful sensory experience that resonates with the evening's theme.

PWC's advocacy and support directly impact the lives of many young individuals. Last year alone, more than 22,000 children and families benefited from their comprehensive mental health services across 47 public schools in New York City. By embedding social workers and artists in educational settings, PWC addresses the unique mental health challenges that arise from poverty, helping students to develop the skills necessary to break free from cycles of disadvantage.

The 2025 Inspiration Gala also highlights the pivotal role of community in aiding this vital cause. Esteemed sponsors of the event include Morgan Stanley, PwC, Apollo Global Management, and many others who understand the importance of investing in the future of NYC's youth.

Annie Cleary, Chief Development Officer at PWC, emphasizes the transformative power of their initiatives: “We have created an evening of hope and imagination, inviting more New Yorkers to join us in our mission to transform classrooms, empower families, and prepare our students for joyful, fulfilling lives.”
