Leading real estate provider Tokyu Land Corporation has crafted the Comforia series with an eye toward modern living, emphasizing accessibility, security, and sustainability. The design of Comforia Riv includes not only communal areas but also individual apartments fitted with state-of-the-art facial recognition technology, setting a new standard for residential living.

After experiencing the FreeiD platform firsthand, Tokyu Land was impressed by its rapid authentication, user-friendly integration, and potential for future expansion into various services. This success led to DXYZ's second major implementation of the system, following a previous project in March 2025.

Residents will benefit from smooth entry and exit processes via facial recognition technology, making everything from accessing their homes to receiving packages entirely hands-free. This innovative approach responds to a growing demand for modern, tech-infused living experiences that meet diverse consumer needs.

What is FreeiD?



The FreeiD platform represents a leap forward in identity verification. It allows users to consolidate various forms of identification—keys, ID cards, and wallets—simply using their facial recognition capabilities. The slogan “Connecting the world with just a face” encapsulates FreeiD’s mission.

Catering to multi-family residences, FreeiD’s 'FreeiD Mansion' solution aims to eliminate the need for traditional keys in common areas, such as entrances and elevators, extending this innovative approach to residents' own units. As of July 2025, FreeiD technology will have been integrated into 238 buildings across Japan, with further expansions planned into office spaces, daycare centers, golf courses, and theme parks.

For instance, the facial recognition payment service, FreeiD Pay, announced in January 2025, shows how everyday transactions can seamlessly integrate with this technology. A pilot program in Kameoka City, set for January 2024, will utilize My Number cards to enhance citizen services.
