Anime Tokyo Station, operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Japan Animation Association, is a hub for promoting the charm of Japanese anime to a global audience, following the motto “Make ANIME more fun, keep ANIME for the future.” As of June 1, 2025, it has welcomed an impressive total of 174,935 visitors.

This summer, the station will host an exciting event on July 7, 2025, featuring the beloved voice actors Mina Tominaga, known for her roles in "Sazae-san" and "Anpanman," and Wataru Takagi, known for portraying characters in "Detective Conan." This unique program marks the first live recording for the Anime Tokyo Station’s official YouTube channel, featuring a blend of voice actor talks and a live reading performance.

The event will take place in two parts. The first segment will resemble a talk show, where the two veteran voice actors will share entertaining anecdotes from their careers, discussing their deep connections to various anime and dramas. The audience will also witness live drawing demonstrations by animators, adding an interactive flair to the experience.

In the second part, the pair will perform a live reading of the second installment of the beloved series "A Night of the Storm," complete with percussion and sound effects that enhance the storytelling experience. To make the evening even more special, the original author of the series, Yuichi Kimura, will join for a valuable discussion during the event.

On the event day, 30 lucky attendees will be drawn to attend the recording session in person, with applications opening on June 9, 2025. This event is a fantastic opportunity for fans and newcomers alike to enjoy the vibrant world of anime, whether they participate live or tune in online.
