Next-Generation Digital Kendo Experience Event in Sanuki City

On November 29, 2025, Zoda Elementary School in Sanuki City, Kagawa, hosted an engaging experience event for the next-generation digital kendo called SASSEN. About 30 participants, consisting mainly of elementary school students and their parents, gathered to enjoy this remarkable activity. In a friendly competitive spirit, families engaged in excitement while discovering the unique charm of SASSEN.

SASSEN utilizes soft kendo swords equipped with sensors, providing a safe and straightforward set of rules enabling people of all ages to enjoy this innovative sport. Many participants expressed their delight, stating that they were surprised by the physical engagement required, contrary to their expectations of a simple game. Comments included affirmations like, “I thought digital kendo was just a game, but it turned out to be much more physically engaging and fun,” and “It's something that both children and the elderly can participate in.”
