Steve Schmotzer Takes the Helm as Chief Development Officer at North American Rail Solutions

North American Rail Solutions (NARS) has officially welcomed Steve Schmotzer as their new Chief Development Officer, succeeding David Goretski, who will maintain his role in a senior advisory position to steer strategic initiatives. Before joining NARS, Schmotzer played a pivotal role at The Greenbrier Companies as vice president of sales covering the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Eastern Canada. His ingenuity in shaping go-to-market strategies and his adept negotiation skills helped expand Greenbrier's market reach significantly. Schmotzer was instrumental in developing innovative railcar designs and service offerings that not only drove revenue growth but also established long-term value for the company and its joint ventures. Notably, his leadership was key in launching a commercial trailer joint venture that successfully produced over 4,000 units in less than two years.

His qualifications don’t end there. With a history of leadership positions at Kenworth (PACCAR) and Mack Trucks, Schmotzer has demonstrated a consistent ability to turn around underperforming units and foster profitability. In addition to his expertise in sales, he has also spearheaded operational enhancements through strategic restructuring and product innovation. His remarkable skills as a business development specialist have been recognized across the industry, particularly in creating international business channels.
