SINEXCEL Launches New Energy Storage Project in Bulgaria to Enhance Europe's Energy Flexibility

SINEXCEL's Commitment to Energy Storage in Bulgaria

SINEXCEL, a leader in energy storage solutions, has announced its involvement in a groundbreaking energy storage project located in Bulgaria. This facility will feature an impressive capacity of 10 MW and a total storage potential of 33.86 MWh, positioning it to play a critical role in enhancing the flexibility and resilience of Europe's energy infrastructure.

The primary objective of this innovative energy storage system is to optimize energy pricing and enhance market efficiency. By offering rapid balancing services, it aims to stabilize the local energy grid, which is increasingly pivotal in the face of fluctuating energy demands.

Utilizing four SINEXCEL Power Conversion Systems (PCS) each rated at 1,725 kW, this storage facility boasts an impressive peak efficiency of 98.5%. The technology’s advanced multiple-circuit connectivity increases battery protection, allowing for flexible battery configurations that can include 1, 2, 4, or 8 circuits.

Moreover, the PCS systems facilitate rapid response times of 10 milliseconds. This capability is essential for real-time energy balancing and ensures seamless integration with existing grid networks. The NEMA 3R rated enclosures are designed to operate reliably even in challenging environmental conditions, emphasizing the resilience of the facility.

One of the significant advantages of these systems is their compliance with crucial regulatory standards across North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, and China, which simplifies deployment in diverse markets.

Project Details and Financing

The project, located at the coordinates 43°21'03.5"N, 25°33'43.6"E, has been developed in collaboration with Evklips Group and secured non-recourse financing from DSK Bank Bulgaria on September 20, 2025. This partnership highlights the confidence in SINEXCEL’s capability to deliver reliable, large-scale energy storage solutions.

Scheduled for full operational status by March 30, 2026, the project has garnered substantial interest from the market, reflecting a growing recognition of SINEXCEL’s role as a significant player in the energy storage industry. The company has successfully implemented projects in over 40 countries, totaling 15 GW/40 GWh of installed energy systems.

SINEXCEL’s ability to achieve more than 5,000 successful deployments reinforces its position as a leading force in energy storage technology. The Bulgarian project is a testament to the company’s commitment to advancing a reliable, eco-friendly, and economically viable energy future.
