Synopsis

Set against a backdrop of passion and culinary brilliance, the story introduces us to Ritsuko, an established female artist, and her housemate, a college student named Tsubame, who is on the verge of graduation but grappling with life’s obstacles. Tsubame receives a call one day from the restoration studio where she’s secured an internship, inviting her to spend two weeks on a small island in Setouchi for training. Although filled with apprehension at the thought of leaving Ritsuko behind, Tsubame embarks on this journey to Hanano Island.

On her adventure, she encounters a range of fascinating characters—an islander who was once a young boy compelled to leave, a suffering husband of a talented painter, an ambitious young editor from an art magazine, and the wise old restoration expert, Mr. Minamoto. As Tsubame interacts with these individuals, she faces her personal history while also noticing changes within Ritsuko too.
