The Arothane™ ARP-B20 is an exemplary low migration TPU that adheres to ISO 10993 standards, making it suitable for implantation for up to 90 days. This innovative material minimizes the migration of additives during processing, ensuring that catheters maintain smooth surfaces throughout their shelf life. Enhancing customization, the ARP-B20 is available in 15 color options, allowing for flexible and bespoke design solutions.

Low Friction TPU

Complementing the low migration variant is the new low friction TPU series, characterized by an inherently smooth surface that eliminates the need for additional coatings or post-treatments. This product is crafted entirely from TPU, free of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) and plasticizers, offering long-term stability without surface exudation or additive migration. The reduced friction properties render it particularly suitable for applications requiring smooth insertion, such as nasogastric probes with guiding wires, while ensuring safety and performance during storage and application.

Alongside these innovations, ICP DAS-BMP showcased a diverse range of TPU materials catering to various medical needs, including the ARP, ALP, and ALC series, each designed for contact with the body. Specifically, the ARP-B20 and ALC-B40 are qualified for implantation lasting 90 days. The ARP-W and ARP-WG series use 40% to 60% tungsten to enhance visibility for guiding wires and thin-walled devices, making them invaluable in medical applications. The Engineering Arothane™ EARP series, celebrated for its clarity and robustness, is perfect for orthodontic uses, Luer-Lock connectors, and other precision devices.
