KIELO COFFEE ASAKUSA: A Unique Fusion of Nordic and Japanese Coffee Culture Opens in 2025

Experience the Fusion of Nordic and Japanese Culture at KIELO COFFEE ASAKUSA

On August 15, 2025, a new coffee sanctuary will grace the streets of Asakusa: KIELO COFFEE ASAKUSA. Spearheaded by Hiroki Yoshike, the CEO of After THREE, this café promises to deliver an authentic coffee experience that marries the rich traditions of Nordic coffee culture with the elegance of Japanese luxury inns. Located at 2-10-5, Kaminarimon, Taito-ku, Tokyo, this coffee shop seeks to offer a distinct experience in one of the most visited areas in East Tokyo.

A Unique Atmosphere

KIELO COFFEE aims to provide a setting that reflects the essence of both Nordic dining and Japanese ryokan (luxury inn). The café features a large central table adorned with flower vases and fruit bowls, promoting a communal feel while maintaining an intimate atmosphere. The design incorporates warm wooden tones typical of Nordic style, complemented by Japanese brand chairs that evoke the comfort found in traditional ryokans. The backdrop of shoji screens adds an artistic touch, creating a space that is both serene and stylish.

Specialty Coffee Selection

KIELO COFFEE ASAKUSA specializes in light-roasted specialty coffee sourced from around the globe. The café boasts an impressive menu, with approximately ten different single-origin beans freshly roasted in-house. From traditional brewing processes to top-grade selections, coffee lovers can indulge in a wide range of flavors. The café also features a stylish mod bar espresso machine designed in calming matte grey, blending aesthetics with functionality.
