Sega and Otafuku Sauce Join Forces!

Sega, a renowned game developer, is teaming up with Otafuku Sauce, a company famous for its delicious okonomiyaki sauce, to offer an exciting workshop titled "Learning Sauce × Source Code: Programming & Okonomiyaki Class!" This event will take place on July 29, 2025, at the Otafuku Tokyo Headquarters, located in Koto City, Tokyo. Registration for participants is open until July 10, 2025.

To celebrate this collaboration, a special game programming video featuring Otafuku Sauce and the popular action puzzle game Puyo Puyo has been made available on a dedicated website, starting from June 27, 2025.

Event Highlights

• - A Puyo Puyo Programming Class
• - An Okonomiyaki Cooking Class
• - Competitive gameplay in Puyo Puyo eSports

During the Puyo Puyo Programming Class, participants will be guided by Piponia, a professional Puyo Puyo player certified by the Japan e-Sports Union and a former system engineer. Attendees will not only learn to replicate game code but also customize the game by transforming the colorful puyos into ingredients like Otafuku's signature sauce and other vegetables, providing a hands-on programming experience.

The Okonomiyaki class will be led by Otafuku Sauce’s own skilled cooks. Participants will learn to prepare their okonomiyaki, and they’ll even get a chance to create art on their cooked dish using mayonnaise in a fun activity called "Okokart". At the end of the cooking session, everyone gets to taste their delicious creations.

Target Audience

This workshop is designed for elementary school students from 4th to 6th grade, along with their parents (one child and one guardian). A total of 10 families (20 participants) will be accepted, and if applications exceed this limit, a lottery will be held.

Participation Fee

Participation is free, although attendees are responsible for their travel expenses to the venue.
