Locanda Restaurants Celebrate Thanksgiving with Complimentary Meals and Art Showcases for the Community
Locanda Restaurants Embrace the Spirit of Thanksgiving
This November 27, Locanda Restaurants will open their doors from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to provide a complimentary Thanksgiving meal for families and individuals in need. This initiative not only highlights the spirit of giving back to the community but also features a mesmerizing art exhibition showcasing the works of contemporary artist, Emily Smith.
A Feast of Generosity
The special event takes place at three distinct locations: Locanda Ravello in Danville, Locanda Positano in Lafayette, and Locanda Amalfi in Pleasanton. This Thanksgiving community meal is dedicated solely to those seeking warmth and connection, as the restaurants will not operate for regular dining during these hours.
As guests arrive, they will be greeted with a traditional Thanksgiving feast designed to invoke a sense of belonging and warmth, embracing the values of compassion and community. The atmosphere throughout the event will be enriched by a curated exhibition of several contemporary artists’ works, with a special emphasis on Emily Smith’s collection. Inspired by her recent travels to Italy, Smith’s paintings capture the essence of Southern Italy through vibrant colors, rich textures, and evocative depictions of light.
A Legacy of Italian Hospitality
The Locanda restaurant family is rooted in authentic Italian tradition, beginning with Enzo Rosano, who hails from Naples. Growing up in a culinary-rich environment, Rosano was influenced by the delicious aromas that filled his home, thanks to his mother Carmela's cooking. After completing his studies at the Scuola Alberghieria in Naples, Enzo translated his passion for Italian hospitality into establishing the first Locanda Positano in 2011. Since then, the brand has expanded across the Bay Area, bringing together locals and newcomers around the shared table.
Filippo Silvestri, Managing Partner of Locanda Ravello, emphasized the importance of this day: "This day is about giving. We're opening our doors to serve those who need it most — with warmth, dignity, and a sense of community."
Art Meets Community Engagement
The art exhibition will remain on view through the end of December, presenting a unique opportunity for patrons and visitors to engage with locally-sourced artistic expressions. Emily Smith’s works celebrate the natural beauty of Italy while also symbolizing the connection and warmth that Locanda aims to provide during this festive season. The display merges culinary delights with cultural appreciation, making this Thanksgiving not just about a meal, but about experiencing a slice of community life enriched by the arts.
Locanda Restaurants are proud to be a part of this meaningful initiative, focusing on broadening the conversation around community care and support during the holiday season. For those looking to enjoy a festive meal in good company, this Thanksgiving promises to strike a heartfelt chord.
