Elegoo Concludes First Phase of Empowering Women Creators Globally
Elegoo Concludes First Phase of 'Elegoo With Her'
Elegoo, a rapidly advancing player in the global smart manufacturing landscape, has successfully wrapped the initial phase of its groundbreaking initiative, "Elegoo With Her." This program is designed to uplift women creators worldwide, focusing on areas such as home decor, fashion, cosplay, and education through cutting-edge 3D printing technology.
Approximately 110 creators from 17 nations submitted applications to participate, with 30 talented women selected for this first phase. The program has now transitioned into its presentation phase after a rewarding three-month journey that included interactive workshops and mentorship experiences. A notable 70% of the participants were newly introduced to 3D printing, illustrating how such initiatives make technology accessible to every aspiring creator.
Launched at the Formnext 2024 exhibition, "Elegoo With Her" has been spearheaded by eight esteemed designers and creators including Anouk Wipprecht, Batoul al-Rashdan, Brigitte Kock, and others who have mentored the participants. Among the inventive projects created during the initiative are STEM kits aimed at empowering girls in Africa as well as intricately designed 3D-printed lamps inspired by early 20th-century aesthetics, showcasing the boundless potential of 3D printing in various domains.
Janet Zagah, a renewable energy entrepreneur and participant in the program, expressed, "I still remember the thrill of printing my first bench. Although there were moments of frustration, the hands-on workshops, mentorship, and the supportive community offered me more than just skills. They instilled in me the confidence to build and lead."
Another participant, Kinnera Putti, a mobile developer, shared her perspective, stating, "Having an inclusive program under a renowned company like Elegoo presents a fantastic opportunity. I hope what we've created serves as an inspiration for others to venture into their creative pursuits."
Coco Lee, Elegoo's brand director, emphasized the significance of accessibility in technology: "We have always believed in making 3D printing available to all, and these projects exemplify the transformative power when women challenge themselves and utilize technology to create and enhance lives beyond their own. Our proven reliability and ease of use allow individuals from all backgrounds to unleash their creativity and realize their ideas."
As one chapter closes, another begins. Elegoo has made the workshops accessible on YouTube, with their next presentation scheduled at IFA Berlin this September, where their inspiring work aims to encourage even more women to step into the creative sphere.
