Sippin' Santa's 10-Year Celebration Brings Festive Cocktails to More Bars Across North America

Sippin' Santa's Decade of Tropical Cheer

Sippin' Santa, the delightful Christmas cocktail pop-up created by Miracle Cocktails Inc. and spearheaded by renowned cocktail innovator Jeff "Beachbum" Berry, proudly marks its tenth anniversary this holiday season. This beloved event, which originally launched in 2016, has expanded immensely, now featuring over 50 participating bars across the United States and Canada. It's a joyous retreat for cocktail lovers, offering a unique blend of tropical flair and holiday spirit.

The concept was envisioned by Greg Boehm, the founder of Miracle Cocktails Inc., who invited Berry’s Latitude 29 bar in New Orleans to develop a tropical twist to his successful Christmas pop-up, Miracle. The launch of Sippin' Santa was met with overwhelming enthusiasm, quickly becoming a highly anticipated event that draws in regular attendees year after year. As Berry puts it, "When Greg asked Latitude 29 to participate in a tropical counterpart to Miracle, the only question I had was 'Where do I sign?'". Over the past ten years, Sippin' Santa has transformed into a cherished part of many holiday traditions, with guests often expressing eagerness for the next season long before it begins.

The 2026 season promises to enhance this spirit of festive escapism with an exciting menu featuring both new and nostalgic cocktails. Among the fresh offerings is the Pau Hana Penguin, which is served in the inaugural stemmed glassware—the Frosted Penguin Coupe—done in collaboration with Cocktail Kingdom. This creative concoction blends tequila, tamarind and miso-infused honey, fresh lime, and a splash of diverse liqueurs, creating an exciting mix of flavors that evoke the warmth of the holiday season.

In honor of its 10th anniversary, Sippin' Santa will revive some of its classic cocktails, including the iconic Sippin' Santa cocktail. This drink is a delightful mix of Demerara rum, amaro, lemon, orange, nutmeg, and ginger syrups, reflecting the pop-up's rich roots. Another fan favorite making a comeback is the Christmas Eve of Destruction, a cocktail originally crafted by former Head Bartender Brad Smith at Latitude 29, which consists of overproof rum, nutmeg syrup, Benedictine, fresh lime, and bitters.

As Sippin' Santa embarks on its second decade, there’s a promise to keep evolving the experience while remaining true to its core values: bringing people together to celebrate and create moments of joy, even if just for a little while. Each season new elements and returning traditions will merge, ensuring that every visit remains exciting and filled with discovery, further cementing Sippin' Santa's place in holiday festivities.
