Huawei and HM Hospitals Collaborate to Launch Global Smart Healthcare Initiative

During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Huawei has taken a significant step in advancing healthcare technology through a collaboration with HM Hospitals. The summit, themed "AI+, Accelerating Intelligence in Healthcare," gathered leading global health experts and academic partners to discuss the future of digital and intelligent healthcare.

In his opening address, Li Junfeng, Vice President of Huawei and Director of the Global Public Sector Business Unit, emphasized the importance of merging cutting-edge Chinese digital technologies with European healthcare expertise. Advanced technologies such as Wi-Fi 7 have been deployed in both campus and departmental management scenarios, accompanied by high-performance devices to meet clinical demands for low latency and high bandwidth. Furthermore, the implementation of the CloudCampus and CampusInsight platforms has enhanced intelligent network operation and maintenance.

In the realm of healthcare technology enhancements, the initiative has strengthened the Hospital Information System (HIS) and the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) with Huawei’s active, all-flash storage solution. This upgrade ensures a smooth continuity of medical services, addressing evolving needs in imaging and pathology systems while establishing a fast digital framework for intelligent diagnostics and treatments.
