Experience a Culinary Journey Across Japan at Tokugawa Garden Restaurant

Discover Japan's Flavors: The Gastronomic Tour de Japon at Tokugawa Garden

Nestled within the historic Tokugawa Garden in Nagoya, the Tokugawa Garden Restaurant is ready to take you on an unforgettable culinary journey across Japan. Starting June 19 and running until July 20, this exclusive dining experience, titled 'Gastronomic Tour de Japon', showcases the rich diversity of Japanese cuisine by highlighting regional specialties from all over the nation.

This summer, as travel plans may slightly diminish, the restaurant aims to whisk diners away on a delightful journey through flavors right from their tables. Reflecting a heartfelt desire to deliver an adventurous dining experience, the special menu features rare and exquisite ingredients sourced from all 42 prefectures, many of which have never been presented at the restaurant before.

A Culinary Adventure Awaits

Dining at the Tokugawa Garden Restaurant usually revolves around the fresh seasonal ingredients found in the local Tokai region. However, the new menu is designed to take your palate on a remarkable journey. Each dish is imbued with the passion of its producers, transformed with French culinary techniques that elevate local tastes into art.

For starters, guests will be treated to `Hors-d’œuvre chaud`, featuring the robust flavors of the Kawamata Shamo chicken from Fukushima, paired with seasonal mushrooms sourced from Iwate, Fukuoka, and Kyoto. Topped with a unique egg from Tokushima known for its white yolk, the dish promises a surprising burst of flavor and texture.

Next is the main fish dish, `Poisson`, showcasing the `Mikan Tai`, a brand of sea bream raised on citrus fruits in Ehime. Crisply skin-seared to perfection, the fish is complemented by a heavenly sauce made from sautéed onions and a mixture of citrus fruits from Ehime, offering a delightful contrast of sweet and tangy flavors on the palate.

The meat course, `Viande`, features rare `Rokuhaku Kurobuta` pork from Kagoshima, known for its unique white markings. Paired with fresh vegetables from Noto, this dish raises anticipation by releasing a fragrant cloud of smoke upon being served – an aromatic invitation to savor a piece of nostalgic Japan.

The menu does not stop there; it also includes fresh sea urchin from Miyazaki, richly flavored Ezo deer from Hokkaido, and a selection of regional wines from Yamanashi, elevating the overall dining experience with the essence of Japan's diverse landscapes.

A Unique Dining Experience

At Tokugawa Garden Restaurant, dining is not just about food; it's about an experience – a journey that allows guests to momentarily escape the mundane and immerse themselves in a world of exquisite flavors.
