Baptist Memorial Health Care's Upcoming Event to Promote Men's Wellness
Baptist Memorial Health Care is set to host a pivotal event called
Heart & Soul: A Men's Wellness Collective on
June 21, 2025, at the
Agricenter International Expo Center in Memphis, Tennessee. This initiative aligns with Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, aiming to provide valuable resources and support for local men facing mental health challenges.
This inaugural event, supported by community leaders and various mental health organizations, promises to be an enriching experience. It features
breakout sessions and participation from over
30 vendors, which include healthcare providers, mental health professionals, and community organizations offering insights and inspiration for men to actively engage in their mental, physical, and emotional health.
Among the notable personalities attending the event is acclaimed actor
Michael Jai White, who emphasized the importance of discussing men's mental health: "This is an important topic, and one that my wife and I are passionate about. We use every opportunity to encourage men to improve their mental health and address issues that affect their own and their families' mental health and wellness." Michael Jai White, along with his wife
Gillian, actor
Da'Vinchi, and actress
Elise Neal, will contribute to the rich dialogue surrounding men's health.
In a time where societal pressures often prioritize work and provider roles, Keith Norman, Vice President and Chief Government Affairs and Community Relations Officer for Baptist Memorial Health Care, emphasizes the urgency for men to understand their significance in family well-being. Norman states, "When men come to this event, we want them to gain the knowledge they need to deal with their own hardships while also being equipped to help their families cope with challenges they may not have been able to overcome before."
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with various vendor booths, receive
free health screenings, and enter giveaways and door prize drawings throughout the day.
Entertainment will be provided by the
Grizz Girls, alongside the
Grizzlies Grannies & Grandpas, ensuring a lively atmosphere that complements the event’s serious tone.
