Diverse Beauty and Wellness Space Opens at Daikanyama Tsutaya

Discover Your Personal Rituals at Daikanyama Tsutaya

On October 10, 2025, Daikanyama Tsutaya, located in Shibuya, Tokyo, unveiled a newly renovated beauty and wellness floor on the second level of its main building. This dedicated space is designed to help visitors engage with beauty and wellness brands, discover their personal rituals, and ultimately contribute to both mental and physical well-being.

Since its inception in 2011, Daikanyama Tsutaya has positioned itself as a place for lifestyle proposals, delivering fresh discoveries and connections through a diverse range of offerings centered around books. The newly introduced beauty and wellness floor is a continuation of their commitment to this mission, emphasizing the importance of self-reflection and self-care, especially in the vibrant season of spring. Starting from 2023, the store has been hosting a comprehensive fair titled 'SPRING SWING', which showcases wellness products and encourages customers to embrace and enhance their well-being.

The new floor is intended to be a touchpoint where customers can encounter the philosophies behind various brands. Instead of merely showcasing skincare and wellness products, the displays will communicate the backstories of each brand, their values, and the care put into their creations. This thoughtful approach allows customers to understand the essence of the brands better and aids them in selecting products that resonate personally with them.

A Gallery Experience

In the far corner of the second floor, there's a glass-walled gallery space, approximately 22 square meters in size, that immerses visitors in the unique worldviews of the brands featured. This space will host a variety of workshops and events designed to engage and inspire attendees.

Starting October 10, eight brands will be prominently showcased, each offering a variety of innovative and thoughtful products that align with the new space's theme. These brands will rotate periodically, providing customers with a chance to experience the latest in wellness and beauty. The following brands will grace the shelves:

  • - Arbor: A lifestyle brand focusing on the potential of nature and committing 10% of its sales to environmental preservation.
  • - GBH: Born in Seoul in 2017, GBH produces home, cosmetic, and apparel items under the ethos of enhancing life beyond mere aesthetics.
  • - CERAPLE / Welles: Founded by Hiroe Hirano, this skincare brand integrates traditional Japanese herbal medicine with modern science for comprehensive self-care routines.
  • - NAGAYA: A brand that champions fermented products made from koji, aiming to promote health and beauty through time-efficient solutions.
  • - nezu: A design label that merges playful design elements with accessibility, creating unique accessories and cosmetics.
  • - euer: A wellness brand launched in 2022, dedicated to bringing happiness and well-being to individuals through its skincare products and activities.
  • - LOCA: Scheduled to launch in September 2024, this cosmetics brand emphasizes authenticity and self-confidence in its products, promoting essentials over excess.

The entrance to the new beauty and wellness floor encourages customers to join in creating and sharing personal rituals that lead to a fulfilling, healthy lifestyle.

A Call to Brands

Daikanyama Tsutaya invites lifestyle brands that share a dedication to personal wellness to collaborate and cultivate a space that allows customers to find their own rituals. Opportunities for product showcases, workshops, and events are abundant, and brands interested in contributing to this unique experience are encouraged to reach out for more detailed proposals and discussions.
