KANTAR Appoints Paul Zwiers as New CEO to Drive Future Growth

KANTAR, one of the world's leading marketing data and analytics firms based in London, has recently appointed Paul Zwiers as its new CEO. This announcement was made on the 15th of October, setting the stage for a significant transition in the company’s leadership. Zwiers, who will officially assume his role on January 1, 2026, joined KANTAR on September 29.

Zwiers comes to KANTAR after a successful era at Accenture, where he held the position of Vice Chair and Global Leader in Media and Entertainment Strategies. With more than three decades of experience in the media, technology, and entertainment sectors, he previously served as the CEO of Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT), leading a strategic transformation that paved the way for the company's privatization in 2022. Before that, he was a Senior Partner and Managing Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), overseeing their Global Media Practice.

In his own words, Zwiers stated, "Since its inception over 50 years ago, KANTAR has provided rigorous research and insights that enable brands to reach more customers faster and in more relevant ways. Building on the remarkable progress made since the Bain Capital acquisition in 2019, I am excited to leverage the full potential of AI to accomplish even more for our clients. I look forward to delivering the best in branding and marketing solutions and supporting brand growth further."

Chris Jansen, who has led KANTAR Group since July 2021, will help ensure a smooth transition and will oversee the business until the end of 2025. Jansen also indicated that he plans to finish his tenure as KANTAR Group CEO by the end of the first quarter in 2026 before departing the company.

In welcoming Zwiers, Jansen remarked, "Over the past four years, KANTAR has strategically restructured its portfolio and value proposition. We are now an essential brand partner to some of the world's leading companies, providing insights and guidance that shape the future of brands. Our strategic partnership with Microsoft is opening a new era of AI-native operations and solutions, ensuring KANTAR continues to lead in the market."

As we set our roadmap and approach the completion of the Numerator separation, it is indeed the right time to welcome a new dedicated leader to KANTAR. Paul is an exceptional leader who has globally recognized expertise in digital innovation, management leadership, and long-term customer-centric growth."

Adam Crozier, Chairman of KANTAR Group, also expressed his appreciation for Jansen's contributions, "First and foremost, I want to thank Chris for his outstanding leadership in KANTAR’s significant transformation. Today’s KANTAR is fundamentally a healthier company than when he took over four years ago. Client feedback indicates that we are more valued and trusted than ever before. Paul is an inspiring leader who will bring additional value and further growth to our clients in the next phase of KANTAR. I am very excited about our future under Paul’s vision and leadership."
