Union Home Mortgage Foundation Grants Fund Three Nonprofits to Aid Communities
The Union Home Foundation, the philanthropic branch of Union Home Mortgage, has recently unveiled its grant recipients for the second quarter of 2025. This year marks a decade of impactful service, and the Foundation remains dedicated to providing families with the necessary resources and knowledge to attain economic self-sufficiency.
This quarter, the Foundation allocated $9,500 in total to three nonprofit organizations located in Colorado, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, each of which plays a significant role in enhancing community well-being through financial education and housing services.
Grant Recipients

Hope Communities (Denver, Colorado) - Awarded
$2,500
- Hope Communities focuses on offering affordable housing solutions tailored to meet the needs of low-income individuals and families in the Denver area. Their comprehensive approach aims to decrease homelessness while alleviating financial strain faced by residents. By providing wrap-around services, including case management, financial counseling, and employment support, Hope Communities enables its residents to overcome barriers and achieve lasting stability. The organization manages four affordable housing sites throughout Denver, ensuring secure and well-maintained living conditions for low-income residents.

Drake House Inc. (Roswell, Georgia) - Awarded

- The mission of Drake House is to empower women and their children who are experiencing homelessness, guiding them toward economic independence. Operating an emergency shelter, Drake House offers a safe haven for mothers and their children for up to 180 days. Featuring 15 one and two-bedroom units, the organization ensures that residents live in a secure and supportive environment without incurring financial pressures. Furthermore, the Drake Village program offers below-market transitional housing for up to two years to qualifying families who have previously benefited from the shelter’s services.

Home of the Sparrow (Exton, Pennsylvania) - Awarded

- Home of the Sparrow addresses housing insecurity through its supportive programming designed to prevent eviction and homelessness. The organization offers a robust combination of financial aid and case management, which includes direct rental assistance for landlords, extensive case management for 12 to 24 months, and up to three years of ongoing financial counseling. Home of the Sparrow also provides access to various in-kind donations from the community, which can fulfill household needs not covered by financial aid programs.
