GiGi's Playhouse Marks 22 Years of Empowerment at Annual 'I Have a Voice' Gala
GiGi's Playhouse Celebrates 22nd Anniversary
GiGi's Playhouse, the unique international network dedicated to supporting individuals with Down syndrome, is gearing up for its annual 'I Have a Voice' Gala. The event will take place on Saturday, February 22, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Chicago, and it promises to be a night filled with inspiration, connection, and celebration.
This year’s gala honors GiGi's Playhouse's remarkable growth over the past 22 years, providing life-changing resources to over 30,000 individuals. Co-hosting the event will be Amanda Booth, a supermodel and an activist renowned for her commitment to the Down syndrome community. Joining her will be GiGi Gianni, the radiant 22-year-old whose advocacy has inspired many.
Nancy Gianni, the Founder and Chief Belief Officer of GiGi's Playhouse, expressed her excitement by stating, "The 'I Have a Voice' Gala is one of my favorite GiGi's Playhouse events because it brings the entire community together. Twenty-two years ago we opened our first Playhouse, and now we have 61 across the globe."
This year, the gala will have a special focus on siblings, celebrating notable sibling pairs within the Down syndrome community, such as influencers Zach and Pat Valentine and Anya and Valeriia Litvinova. Attendees can look forward to a lively evening featuring performances by Chicago’s own band, 7th Heaven, along with both live and silent auctions.
Funds raised during the gala will directly contribute to GiGi's Playhouse's ongoing endeavors, which include providing free educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Every year, GiGi's Playhouse dedicates over 340,000 hours to free programming, promoting acceptance and inclusion for all.
Tickets for the gala are still available for individual purchase or as tables for ten. Numerous sponsorship opportunities are also open, with sponsors such as 2000 Percent Raise, Accurate Personnel Services, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Behrens, and Wintrust Bank demonstrating their commitment to the cause.
