Global X Korea Semiconductor Top 10 ETF on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under the ticker code
633A. This development marks a significant addition to the Japanese financial market, aimed at capturing the booming sector of Korean semiconductor stocks, driven largely by surging demand for artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
What is the Global X Korea Semiconductor Top 10 ETF?
The primary goal of the newly launched ETF is to replicate the performance of the
FnGuide Semiconductor TOP10 Index, converted into yen. This index comprises ten major Korean companies in the semiconductor sector, specifically focusing on those pivotal to memory chip production. Among them, the two largest firms—
Samsung Electronics and
SK hynix—each make up 25% of the ETF’s allocation, giving these industry giants a combined weight of 50%. The remaining portion is allocated to eight high-ranking firms producing manufacturing equipment, materials, and components, ensuring broad exposure to the entire semiconductor supply chain.
