Exciting Innovations at TIB KIDS and TIB PITCH Events in Tama Area

Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) has made significant strides in fostering innovation, guided by their motto "creating together.” With support from various stakeholders, TIB has evolved into a major hub for innovation, drawing people from all over Japan and the world. In November last year, TIB upgraded its startup strategy, launching “TIB 2.0” to better support a wider range of challengers. This summer, TIB will host two exciting events in the Tama area that aim to inspire the next generation and promote startup growth: TIB KIDS and TIB PITCH.

TIB KIDS Day in Tama

Event Overview

Date & Time: August 23, 2026 (Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Tokyo Tama Mirai Messe, Hachioji City, Exhibition Rooms C & D
Target Audience: Preschool and elementary school children interested in technology and new challenges, along with their families.

The event will feature a variety of exciting exhibits and activities relevant to the Tama area:
1. Zen-chan: A Science Magic Show
2. Tokyo Denki University Junior and Senior High School: “Let’s Make Future Toys” workshop
3. EdFusion Corporation: AI Workshop
4. Shirasaka Laboratory (Keio University): Build and Fly Paper Rockets!
5. Amulapo Corporation: Adventure into Space!
6. Self-Wing Corporation: Create Wonderful Gifts at the “Thank You Workshop”
7. Toiro Corporation: New Idea Blocks “Toiro BOX” using cardboard and magnets
8. Robot Ride Corporation: Experience Operating Exoskeleton Robots!

TIB PITCH in Tama

Event Overview

Date & Time: August 24, 2026 (Monday) from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Location: Startup Hub Tokyo TAMA, Tachikawa City, Event Space
Target Audience: Startups, companies, VC and financial institutions, government entities, media, and anyone interested in collaborating with startups.

Event Content

The TIB PITCH event aims to tackle social challenges faced by the Tama region through innovative pitch presentations by startups. It will include:

- An opportunity to present solutions to local social issues and create new value.
- Pitch evaluations conducted by experts in the field.
- A chance for participants to experience the products and services being pitched.
- Networking opportunities among participating startups, judges, and audience members.

Notably, startups selected through the pitch will have the opportunity to showcase their products or services at TIB for approximately two months, facilitating market testing and further development.

Pitch Entry and Attendance
