'Furusato Acure'. This initiative, launched by
JR East Cross Station, is aimed at showcasing the rich natural beauty, traditional culture, and modern art that defines Tokamachi.
A New Way to Experience Local Specialties
The
'Furusato Acure' vending machines will allow travelers to conveniently purchase local products that capture the essence of Tokamachi. Items available for purchase will include:
- - The Tokamachi City Catalog Gift, priced at ¥5,400 (tax included), which contains a curated selection of local gourmet foods, everyday goods, and unique experiences that will make customers feel like they have visited Tokamachi itself.
- - Uonuma Koshihikari rice (300g for ¥800), a premium rice variety from Tokamachi known for its exceptional sweetness and texture, cultivated by farmers who meet stringent quality standards and benefit from the region’s perfect climate conditions.
- - TOIRO® Rice Flour Snowballs (6 pieces for ¥480), delicious treats made from 100% rice flour sourced from Uonuma Koshihikari rice, renowned for their light, crumbly texture that makes them irresistibly delightful.
