Axiom Achieves Perfect Score in LGBTQ+ Workplace Equality Index for Second Year

Axiom’s Commitment to LGBTQ+ Workplace Equality

Axiom, a leading provider of alternative legal services, has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to workplace equality by achieving a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's (HRCF) 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). This remarkable achievement marks Axiom's second consecutive year of receiving this accolade, which highlights the company's efforts in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ employees.

The CEI is a comprehensive benchmarking tool used to assess companies based on their policies and practices concerning LGBTQ+ workplace equality. With a record 1,449 organizations participating this year, Axiom stands out among 766 others being honored with the prestigious Equality 100 Award. This recognition serves as a testament to Axiom's dedication to diversity and inclusion, a principle that has defined the company for over 25 years.

David McVeigh, Axiom's CEO, remarked, “Earning a perfect CEI score again reflects Axiom's commitment to workplace equality that's defined our company for 25 years. This enduring commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion enables us to deliver greater value to our clients and talent across geographies, practice areas, and industries. We're proud to be recognized as a leader in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where each employee can be their authentic self every day.”

The 2025 edition of the CEI illustrates a progressive trend among U.S. businesses in promoting beloved workplace policies not just within the U.S., but on international fronts as well. Of the surveyed companies, an impressive 98% have established non-discrimination protections regarding gender identity, showcasing a growing recognition of the importance of inclusive policies.

The CEI assesses major employers, including Fortune 500 companies and top-grossing law firms, based on four key pillars:
1. Non-Discrimination Policies: Evaluation of how businesses prioritize protections against discrimination, explicitly concerning sexual orientation and gender identity.
2. Equitable Benefits: Analysis of the availability of equal workplace benefits for LGBTQ+ employees and their families.
3. Inclusive Culture: Examination of initiatives that foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.
4. Corporate Social Responsibility: Assessment of how companies support LGBTQ+ community initiatives and represent their corporate values in the wider community.
