IDCA Unveils AE360® 2.0: Setting New Data Center Standards for the AI Era

IDCA Introduces the Infinity Paradigm AE360® 2.0 Data Center Standards Framework

On April 9, 2026, the International Data Center Authority (IDCA) announced the rollout of version 2.0 of the Infinity Paradigm® AE360® Standards Framework. This innovative framework is designed to align with the intricate requirements of today's technology, predominantly focusing on artificial intelligence, AI factories, and cybersecurity. It emphasizes a holistic approach to digital infrastructure while aiming for optimal ecosystem performance and risk mitigation.

The AE360® 2.0 serves as a comprehensive global standards framework. It assesses the infrastructure and operational risk of various application ecosystems, including data centers, cloud infrastructure, and application management systems. By offering a total solution, it provides both a robust evaluation of risks and insights into operational performance.

Mehdi Paryavi, CEO of IDCA, expressed his enthusiasm about the launch, stating that the Infinity Paradigm® represents a much-needed paradigm shift for the industry. In 2025 alone, the investment in data centers reached an astonishing $580 billion, surpassing that of the oil and gas sector by $40 billion, a clear indication of their paramount importance today.

According to IDCA research, the global footprint of data centers currently stands at 67 gigawatts (GW), with the U.S. accounting for a substantial 43% of this consumption. The industry is positioned at a pivotal moment, forecasted to escalate its global footprint to an extraordinary range of 250 to 300GW between 2030 and 2035. This anticipated growth represents an increase of between 270% to 350%. As traditional data centers shift to accommodate AI functionalities, both their energy consumption and operational complexity are expected to rise significantly.

A re-evaluation of risks is urgent as the technological landscape undergoes rapid changes. The Infinity Paradigm's holistic strategy is designed to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of digital infrastructure while streamlining the design and management of each Application Ecosystem effectively.
