With profound sorrow, iM Global Partner (iMGP) announced the untimely passing of their esteemed colleague, Philippe Uzan, who left us a month ago. As the Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Global Asset Management, Uzan had an extraordinary career spanning over three decades, etched with significant contributions to asset management and countless lives he touched along the way.
Philippe joined iMGP in February 2020, bringing with him an impressive portfolio of skills and knowledge across various asset classes. His immense expertise enabled the firm to navigate intricate financial strategies and develop innovative investment solutions aimed at meeting the diverse needs of clients in Europe and the United States. Philippe Uzan was not only known for his technical acumen but also for his eloquence, having penned numerous insightful articles that simplified complex financial concepts for broader audiences.
Before joining iMGP, Uzan was the Chief Investment Officer at Edmond De Rothschild Asset Management, a position he held for eleven years. In that role, he skillfully led portfolio management teams while fostering synergy between thorough market analysis and pragmatic portfolio decisions. His previous experience also included significant positions at Société Générale, AGF Asset Management, and Natixis Asset Management, where he excelled in enhancing investment processes and product offerings.
Notably, Uzan was revered not only for his professional prowess but also for his admirable personal qualities. His intelligence, humility, and collaborative nature earned him the respect and affection of peers, colleagues, and clients alike.
