Each shop team is transforming their spaces with handmade Christmas decorations, enhancing the festive atmosphere as customers shop for thoughtful gifts. Participants and the public can engage via Instagram by liking posts featuring the dedicated hashtag, `#コトモノマルシェクリスマスディスプレイコンテスト2025`, until December 25th, 2025. The stores with the most likes will be ranked, adding a competitive twist to this joyous occasion.

What is a Display Contest?

During the year, the holiday season is a bustling time for retailers. The idea of hosting a contest among all Kotomono Marche locations sprouted as a way to celebrate and elevate the Christmas spirit. Initially held around ten years ago, it aims to encourage creativity and community involvement by inviting store staff to handcraft their decorations. The result? A vibrant, festive environment that captures the magic of Christmas.

Theme of This Year: ‘Everyone is Santa’

The essence of Christmas is beautifully captured in the theme, 'Everyone is Santa.' While children await gifts from the mythical Santa Claus, adults create joy by selecting and wrapping presents for loved ones. This heartwarming theme reflects the meaning of the season, highlighting how everyone can embody the spirit of giving.

The main creations for this year are inspired by 'Santa Claus' and 'Gift Boxes.' With many employees at Kotomono Marche having a passion for crafting, each store will present a unique interpretation of the theme. Expert Gift Selection Assistance

In addition to the delightful displays, each store will feature advice cards from a 'Gift Selection Expert' (Santa), guiding gift buyers through top choices for holiday shopping. Special limited-time products exclusive to this Christmas season will also be available, making shopping an exciting adventure.
