TONICHI's Participation in Enjoy Local Market
On May 10, 2026, the renowned TONICHI, a subsidiary of the world’s largest newspaper printing company, will make its debut at the “Enjoy Local Market” held at Shiki no Mori Park in Kanagawa, Yokohama. This local market, themed “Connecting Local Communities,” aims to foster new connections among local producers, artisans, and food trucks, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
At the TONICHI booth, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the unique design newspaper wrapping paper called “Tsutsumu,” made from unused newspaper materials. Priced at 360 yen (tax included), each set includes six sheets featuring fun and attractive designs, ideal for crafts and gift wrapping. This innovative product not only promotes recycling but also encourages creativity among visitors who can choose their favorite patterns for various projects.
In addition to “Tsutsumu,” TONICHI will unveil an exciting offering for kids: an oversized newspaper coloring booklet with five themes—Sharks, Mermaids, Fairy Tales, Vehicles, and Dinosaurs. This popular product allows children to enjoy large-scale coloring, making it a delightful experience for young artists to express their imagination.
Moreover, this event presents families with a unique opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops. Attendees can experience the distinctive texture and size of newspapers while creating their very own charming and functional newspaper bags. This workshop is designed to encourage family bonding, offering both children and parents a chance to engage in a creative and enjoyable activity together.
