Exciting New Gourmet Café Toastique Set to Open in Detroit This November

Toastique Expands to Detroit!

Toastique, the dynamic gourmet toast, juice, and coffee bar rooted in Washington, D.C., is making its mark in the Midwest with its upcoming Detroit debut. Slated for a grand opening on November 8, the café is nestled in the lively Campus Martius area at 89 Monroe Street, right where the city’s hustle and bustle meets an oasis of fresh and nutritious dining options.
The café prides itself on a health-centric menu, featuring an array of handcrafted toasts, wholesome smoothie and açaí bowls, invigorating cold-pressed juices, and aromatic coffee. Each item is thoughtfully curated and created in-house using only high-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients. Local siblings Nour, Sarah, Hanadi, Aya, Abbas, and Zeinab have taken the reins of this location, eager to introduce Toastique's mission of offering delicious yet nutritious meals to a new audience.

Why Detroit?

“To us, Detroit was an obvious choice for our first location,” says Nour Kanaan. “The city is experiencing rapid growth, yet it lacks accessible quick-serve health options for those living or working downtown.” The Kanaan family's passion for clean eating and innovative dishes directly influenced their decision to bring the Toastique concept to Detroit’s thriving urban environment. They see their café as not just a place to grab a bite but a hub for community engagement.
The Kanaan family aims to transform Toastique Detroit into a social space, integrating partnerships with local businesses, artists, and organizations. They’re dedicated to promoting Detroit's creativity and diversity through collaborative events and initiatives. “We envision creating a welcoming space, where not only will people enjoy our delicious offerings, but they'll also feel like part of our Toastique family,” adds Zeinab Ballout.

Opening Day and Special Offers

The excitement doesn't stop at the opening! On the grand opening day, the first 100 customers will receive $50 in Toastique rewards, encouraging them to return and explore the menu further. Additionally, throughout the week, guests can take advantage of enticing offers, such as:
  • - Sunday, Nov 9: Free drip coffee with any purchase over $10
  • - Monday, Nov 10: $5 Juice on Tap with any purchase all day (12oz)
  • - Tuesday, Nov 11: Free Coffee/Espresso drink with any purchase
  • - Wednesday, Nov 12: $6 smoothies all day (16oz)

The Menu: A Taste of Freshness

At Toastique, satisfying your cravings doesn’t have to mean compromising health. Each menu item comes with a purpose: the ingredients are selected for their nutritional benefits—delivering not just taste, but also promoting mindfully nutritious eating. From the artisanal toppings on their toasts to the nutrient-dense smoothies, every bite fulfills its promise of vitality.
Toastique's operating hours will be seven days a week from 7 am to 5 pm, catering to early risers and afternoon snackers alike. The café is set to create a vibrant atmosphere where guests can unwind with wholesome food while connecting with others in the community.

A Brand on the Rise

Founded in 2018 by former collegiate cheerleader Brianna Keefe, Toastique has grown exponentially since its flagship opening in Washington D.C.
