Introducing Biication
The
Biication program aims to lure skilled mechanics to rural areas for a minimum of two months, where they will perform maintenance work for various clients, including individual households and businesses. This innovative approach, promoting the concept of "maintenance work combined with remote working," is part of a broader strategy to resolve the pressing mechanic shortages in rural settings.
Proposed Uses for Local Governments
During the expo, Apty will showcase ways in which local governments can utilize this service, which includes:
1.
Comprehensive Vehicle Maintenance: The program encompasses a wide spectrum of vehicles, from regular cars to electric vehicles, agricultural machinery, and light trucks. By taking over maintenance tasks for government-owned public vehicles as well as local requests from maintenance shops and individual homes, Apty aims to create a reliable transport environment for the community.
2.
Creating Relational Populations and Promoting Migration: Mechanics participating in Biication will reside in available local housing, addressing the issue of vacant properties while also contributing to local economic activities through tourism and shopping during their off-hours. The goal is to immerse them in the region's charm, potentially encouraging future migration and reversing the trend of declining local populations.
3.
Support for Elderly Monitoring through Maintenance Visits: Local authorities often struggle to monitor the elderly effectively due to high resource demands. By integrating the maintenance service, workers can check on elderly residents' health status during vehicle inspections, thus complementing support efforts
About Apty's Mobile Maintenance Services
Founded in February 2009, Apty has developed a nationwide mobile maintenance service that travels to clients directly. In just two years, the service has expanded to include around 5,000 registered mobile maintenance workers. This innovative model, dubbed “spot work for mechanics,” is gaining significant attention for its flexibility and efficiency. Mechanics can select their working hours and locations according to preference, while maintenance shops can promptly acquire skilled help during peak times or employee shortages.
