A Festive Culinary Experience at Café 1894

In addition to the delightful dining experience, each guest will receive a special invitation to the upcoming exhibition titled "Art Deco and Mode: The Kyoto Costume Institute Collection", running from October 11, 2025, to January 25, 2026. This exhibition celebrates the centennial of the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, showcasing approximately 310 items related to the Art Deco period.

The Christmas Dinner Course

This year's Christmas dinner will feature a meticulously crafted multi-course menu designed to highlight the season's essence. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine to toast the evening.

Amuse Bouche

The meal begins with a luxurious amuse bouche: a mousse of white beans topped with generous portions of snow crab and French caviar, artfully presented in vibrant Christmas colors of red, white, and green.

Appetizer

Next is a vibrant salmon marinated with beets and raspberries, served in a delightful salad form, providing a fresh and colorful start to the meal.

Fish Course

For the main fish dish, a traditional festive favorite, the French lobster, will be served in a rich bisque broth garnished with wilted spinach, allowing guests to savor the concentrated flavors of this delicacy.

Meat Course

The meat course features a succulent steak made from Japanese wagyu sirloin, paired with truffle-scented pomm frits and a robust red wine sauce, ensuring a harmonious blend of flavors.

Dessert

Finally, dessert is a stunning tart of Amaou strawberries and white chocolate, presenting a beautiful representation of a wintry white Christmas. To end the culinary journey on a sweet note, guests will enjoy a selection of three delicate petits fours, enhancing the cozy atmosphere.
