Misha Mansoor Introduces the Juggernaut Guitar Series
Progressive metal guitarist Misha Mansoor, known for his work with the band Periphery, has announced the launch of his new signature guitar models named the
Juggernaut. Scheduled for release on
April 17, 2025, these instruments are set to cater to both established musicians and those exploring the dynamic soundscapes of metal.
The new line-up includes three distinct models: the
Pro Series Signature Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT6 available in
Red Crystal and
Blue Sparkle colors, and the
Pro Plus Series Signature Misha Mansoor Juggernaut ET6. Through a close collaboration with Jackson, a guitar brand under Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC), these guitars are crafted to meet the demands of both speed and stability, which define Mansoor's playing style.
According to Misha, "The Juggernaut represents our continuous evolution, striving to see what we can achieve at a specific time. These guitars need to endure the rigorous demands of touring. They are uncompromising in aesthetics, sound, and playability."
Mansoor, who plays a pivotal role in the
djent movement, co-founded
Periphery in 2005. The band, based in Washington D.C., is renowned for pushing the boundaries of metal with their innovative use of downtuning and extended sound ranges. Just as Periphery's music embodies precision and innovation, so too do the new Juggernaut signature models.
The Juggernaut guitars include body constructions made from
poplar with a
25.5-inch scale, featuring a
bolt-on carved maple neck reinforced with graphite rods. This design ensures excellent playability, paired with a
wrap-around neck heel that provides superior comfort, and an oil-finished neck back for a smooth touch. Other notable features include a
20-inch flat radius ebony fretboard with rolled-off edges,
24 jumbo stainless steel frets, and
offset dot inlays tailored for rapid playing. The guitars also come equipped with
Luminlay® side dots, enhancing visibility under low-light conditions. The adjustment of the neck can be done swiftly, thanks to the heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel.
Another highlight is the Jackson-developed
MM1 pickups, known for maintaining uncompromising tone quality. These pickups come with
5-way blade switching, a single volume control, and a push/pull single tone control, allowing flexible sound design options. The
humbucker design supports heavy picking styles, while omitting covers enhances brightness and clarity.
The
Pro Plus Series Signature Misha Mansoor Juggernaut ET6 is equipped with the
EverTune F6 bridge which maintains perfect tuning across the neck, especially under lower tunings. Conversely, the
Pro Series Signature Misha Mansoor Juggernaut HT6 features a
string-thru hardtail bridge that promotes robust sustain, solid tuning stability, and allows for quick string changes.
Both bridges are engineered to withstand intense play, providing the unwavering stability essential to Mansoor's performance style. Jon Romanoski, head of product development at Jackson, commented, "Misha's innovation and vision align perfectly with our passion for pushing the boundaries of tone and design. This collaboration cements Jackson's commitment toproviding products for players seeking only the best."
For music enthusiasts eager to see the new models in action, Jackson's official YouTube channel is set to unveil promotional videos demonstrating the capabilities of the Juggernaut guitars.
