Art Exhibition Featuring Nakamura Kouga and Kaori Koda
From June 23 to June 28, 2026, the GALLERY AND LINKS81 in Ginza will host a unique art exhibition featuring the talented calligrapher Nakamura Kouga and the mesmerizing letter artist Kaori Koda. Both artists share a common ability to infuse their works with emotions and the invisible energies that surround us. Their creations reflect a dynamic tension between calmness and intensity, combining a gentle grace with a strong core.
The exhibition will present collaborative pieces that the two artists have crafted together, with a central theme inspired by the ancient Japanese concepts of
Fujin (the god of wind) and
Raijin (the god of thunder). These two opposing elements, which have been represented in art since ancient times, embody the beauty found in chaos as well as the energy that arises from their clash. The artwork will showcase a unique harmony that exists between these polar forces, highlighting the balance that emerges from their interplay.
During the exhibition, attendees can look forward to several engaging activities:
- - Live Calligraphy Performance by Nakamura Kouga
Scheduled for June 23 at 16:00, this captivating performance will last around 15 minutes. Following the showcase, a small reception party will be held, allowing guests to mingle and discuss the pieces on display.
- - Fluorescent Paint Experience
On June 26, from 13:30 to 14:30, participants can engage in a hands-on workshop using fluorescent paints, bringing a new dimension to their artistic expressions.
- - Sumi Ink Creation Workshop
Held on June 27 from 13:30 to 15:00, this workshop will offer an immersive experience into the ancient technique of ink-making, guided by the expertise of Nakamura Kouga.
