UST Announces D3CODE 2025 Hackathon Winners



On October 15, 2025, UST, a prominent player in AI and technology transformation, revealed the winners of D3CODE 2025 during the lead-up to its much-anticipated annual technology conference. Celebrating its fifth edition, this international hackathon attracted over 6,600 teams comprising roughly 25,000 participants from more than 2,900 higher education institutions across countries including India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Malaysia.

The D3CODE event is more than just a competition; it represents a vital opportunity for aspiring technologists to showcase their innovation. This year, participants submitted an impressive 2,600 creative concepts, reflecting the diversity and ingenuity of new generations of thinkers.

Niranjan Ramsunder, UST's Chief Technology Officer, commented on the significance of D3CODE: "D3CODE is where tomorrow's creators turn frontier technologies into real-world outcomes. As data, GenAI, and future-ready technologies rapidly reshape industry and society, we're challenging students to go beyond prototypes and build solutions that deliver measurable impact, responsibly, safely, and at scale."

The competition recognized winners in various regions, each team bringing forward unique solutions tailored to address contemporary challenges.
  • - Malaysia: Team Databaes consisting of Jun Quan Chin and Yong Jiang Woon.
  • - India: Team Pulimada, featuring Ashwin Pavithran, Linto Jomon, Elston Savio, and Aharon Mathews from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum.
  • - United Kingdom: Team safeWalk AI with members Chris Kakoulis, Nathaniel Fisher, Sviatlatyk, and Marios Vovides.
  • - Mexico: Team JACA including Andres Martinez Almazan, Josue Tapia, Emilio Martinez, and Diego Arechiga.
  • - United States: Team Neural Navigators with Nagur Shareef Shaik from Georgia State University and Vandna Rajpal from Stevens Institute of Technology (SIT) in New Jersey.

Among these regional winners, the Neural Navigators were distinguished as the global champions for their innovative project, PRISM Predictive Reporting Insights with Science Models. They were honored with a cash prize of USD 10,000 and a chance to present their cutting-edge solution at UST's D3 Conference on October 16 in Thiruvananthapuram, India. Each regional winning team received monetary awards, and notable contenders from India were presented with the prospect of conditional job offers from UST.

As D3 celebrates its tenth anniversary, the event aims to foster collaboration between UST associates while showcasing the future of innovation. This year, attendees can look forward to tech expos, customer showcases, programming challenges, global hackathons, and more. UST's D3 Conference is designed to facilitate idea exchange among industry leaders, providing insights on scaling solutions and promoting sustainable business practices.

CEO Krishna Sudheendra will serve as the keynote speaker, discussing exciting developments in data intelligence and the convergence of emerging technologies such as agentic AI and quantum computing. Other notable speakers include Niranjan Ram, CTO of UST, and renowned figures such as Greg Williams, Editor-in-Chief of WIRED, along with executives from major technology and cybersecurity firms.
