In May 2024, LiuGong’s Green Alliance reached a significant milestone with the initiation of a water well project in South Africa. By August, LiuGong successfully completed the first phase of this project, unveiling a solar-powered, 150-meter-deep well that now provides clean water to over 25,000 households in Mabeskraal, South Africa.

To date, LiuGong has sold over 6,500 electric units globally, contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions by 330,000 tons. This achievement is akin to planting more than 18 million trees. Throughout 2023, LiuGong has emphasized global electrification, with electric products accounting for over 10% of monthly international sales, further reducing their carbon footprint and igniting sustainable investments.

The company has also succeeded in accelerating the independent development of vital components, completing the first phase of a battery pack factory while introducing energy replenishment facilities. They have made notable progress with autonomous technology, deploying loaders and rollers in various sectors, which has led to enhanced scheduling, cost reduction, and improved efficiency.

In 2023, LiuGong launched 27 projects aimed at reducing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and welding fumes, achieving substantial reductions in emissions. Innovation through policy modifications and photovoltaic initiatives has optimized energy usage, with local solar projects expected to generate 52 million kWh annually.
