Miyazaki GRIP: A Model for Sustainable Agriculture and Fisheries



On January 30, 2026, a remarkable event will take place in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. The Miyazaki GRIP report meeting will highlight three years of efforts aimed at establishing sustainable agriculture and fisheries through innovative projects and collaborations. The Miyazaki GRIP initiative serves as a matching platform designed to create new sustainable agriculture and fisheries projects, having successfully involved 109 organizations, including private companies, agricultural associations, and local governments.

The report meeting will cover various achievements from the participants who have strived for innovation over the past three years. Notably, attendees will engage in a cross-talk session featuring project representatives and officials from Miyazaki Prefecture. The discussion will focus on optimizing local resources to transform agricultural structures into sustainable frameworks. This engaging forum aims to reflect on the past while also paving the way for the next stage of Miyazaki's agricultural and fisheries industries, reinforcing networks within the community.
