Celebrate World Cat Day with Charity Pop-Up Event Supporting Rescue Cats

Celebrate World Cat Day with a Special Charity Pop-Up

In honor of World Cat Day on August 8th, Lachaton, a rescue cat support brand based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is hosting the sixth charity pop-up event titled "Connecting Happiness: The Circle of Cat and Dog Rescue" at the Beauty Apothecary in Isetan Shinjuku Store’s basement. This initiative emphasizes the joy of shopping while contributing to the well-being of animals, as a portion of the profits will be donated to support rescue cats.

About the Event

This enriching event aims to connect animal lovers and highlight the importance of shopping consciously to aid those in need. Visitors can look forward to a unique selection of products that are both friendly to pets and the environment. An exciting aspect of this pop-up is the limited edition items that are not available in stores, including exquisite cat-themed goods created by fortune advisor Haruka Evelour.

Special Highlights

One of the notable sections within the pop-up is the Hachibe Corner, showcasing various products featuring illustrations of Hachibe, a rescue cat that serves as its mascot. Here, shoppers can find premium natural chicken paste and fluffy balm, both inspired by Hachibe.

  • - Fluffy Balm: Priced at ¥3,981 (tax included).

Moreover, affluent cat merchandise crafted by fortune advisor Haruka Evelour is available in limited quantities, such as beautifully decorated ceramic lucky cats and handmade natural stone lucky cats, as well as adorable cat clips that allow you to find a likeness of your beloved feline.
  • - Ceramic Lucky Cat: Priced at ¥3,300 (tax included).
  • - Natural Stone Lucky Cat: Priced at ¥2,530 (tax included).

Weekend Special Benefits

On the weekend of August 9, 10, and 11, those who spend over ¥2,500 will receive a photo sticker of their beloved cat or dog right on the spot! Note that this offer is limited to the first 50 customers, so be sure to arrive early.

Instagram Live Sessions

Apart from in-store experiences, the event will feature Instagram Live sessions where attendees can engage directly with hosts.
  • - August 7: A talk session featuring Haruka Evelour and Lachaton’s representative Miho Arai at 1:00 PM.
  • - August 8: A live broadcast from the pop-up venue led by Miho Arai at 8:30 PM.

Contribution to Rescue Cats

Part of the proceeds from this charity pop-up will be donated to support rescue cats, with this year’s benefactor being Hotel Suneco, an organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for cats. Details regarding donations and updates will be shared through Lachaton’s official website and Instagram.
