Jupiter Power Announces Leadership Changes for Continued Growth and Excellence
Jupiter Power Announces Executive Leadership Transitions
Jupiter Power LLC, a prominent independent developer specializing in utility-scale battery energy storage systems, has recently disclosed significant changes in its executive leadership as part of its strategy to support ongoing expansion and enhance operational excellence. This announcement was made on November 4, 2025, and marks a pivotal moment for the company.
Audrey Griffin, who has been a cornerstone of Jupiter Power since its inception, is stepping down from her position as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Griffin has been instrumental in guiding the company since 2019, leading the development of vital capabilities in battery energy storage system (BESS) dispatch and optimization. Under her leadership, Jupiter Power has grown to manage projects totaling nearly 9 GWh—operational, under construction, or contracted. Reflecting on her journey, Griffin expressed pride in the team’s accomplishments and is optimistic about the company's future, stating, "I am delighted to watch the future trajectory of Jupiter as the team continues to go from strength to strength." Although she will be leaving her day-to-day role, she will continue to lend her expertise in an advisory capacity.
Taking over as COO is Jack Godshall, who has been with Jupiter since its founding and previously served as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Godshall has a proven track record in overseeing the development and execution of projects, ensuring that the company maintains its reputation for excellence in project management. He emphasized the importance of aligning project execution with long-term strategy in an industry that is rapidly evolving. "I am excited to continue to guide Jupiter Power as a leader in energy storage in this time of great load growth and increased need for power," he stated, highlighting the company’s ambitious plans for the future.
Additionally, Laura Wellborn has been appointed as the new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), where she will oversee the functions previously managed by Griffin. Wellborn joined Jupiter Power in 2020 and has brought over a decade of experience in energy trading and development. She has effectively expanded the market operations team, which is now responsible for managing energy storage projects totaling nearly 2,400 MWh. Her leadership is expected to further empower Jupiter Power's operational capacity.
Reflecting on the leadership transitions, Andy Bowman, CEO of Jupiter Power, commented on the foundational role Griffin has played in the company’s operational success. He expressed bittersweet feelings about her departure but also conveyed confidence in the new leadership team's ability to steer Jupiter through its next chapter. "With Jack and Laura's proven leadership and market insights, the company is well-positioned to continue expanding our portfolio of reliable, flexible energy storage projects nationwide," he said.
Jupiter Power stands at the forefront of energy storage solutions, equipped with advanced trading, analytics, development, finance, operations, and construction capabilities, along with proprietary technology for dispatch optimization. The company is currently working on more than 12,000 MW of projects spanning the United States—from California to Maine.
