Oklahoma Connections Academy Celebrates the Class of 2026
On May 16, 2026, Oklahoma Connections Academy proudly celebrated the achievements of its graduating class of 2026. The in-person graduation ceremony took place at 181 Ranch in Bixby, where 160 seniors gathered to mark this significant milestone in their educational journeys surrounded by their families and educators.
A Remarkable Journey
Melissa Gregory, the school leader at Oklahoma Connections Academy, commended the Class of 2026 for their outstanding resilience, determination, and personal growth throughout their academic experience.
“It has been an honor to support these students as they reached this milestone, and we are excited to see the many paths they will take as they move forward,” said Gregory, emphasizing the school’s commitment to its students.
This graduating class exemplifies the diverse talents and aspirations of students in Oklahoma, all having benefited from a personalized online education environment. Statistics show that 37% of graduates plan to pursue further education at two- or four-year institutions, while 33% are inclined toward vocational training. Additionally, 17% are ready to enter the workforce, and 8% have plans to join the military or take a gap year to explore their options further.
Strength in Community
Among the graduates was Amaya Villoso, a resident of Bixby, who reflected on her positive experiences at Oklahoma Connections Academy.
“I've always felt supported and connected through the strong community of teachers and classmates,” Villoso remarked. “The Literacy Club and student council tirelessly work to connect students like me with our peers, creating new friendships and a supportive school environment.”
This sense of community underscores the vital role Oklahoma Connections Academy plays in fostering meaningful relationships that encourage academic success.
