PowerX Secures Major Battery Storage System Order
In a monumental step towards energy sustainability, PowerX, headquartered in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, has announced a significant order for their energy storage system, the
Mega Power 2700A. This collaboration involves
Tokyo Century Corporation, based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, and
MIRARTH Energy Solutions, from Shinjuku, Tokyo. Together, they will supply a total of
24 storage units with a combined capacity of
65.8 MWh aimed at supporting a new high-voltage energy storage project set to be established in
Asahi Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Scheduled to become operational in
2029, this advanced energy storage system is designed to connect with the Tokyo electric power grid, enabling effective charging and discharging operations. It is anticipated that the Mega Power 2700A will play a crucial role in stabilizing the supply and demand balance of electricity in the region. This project has been selected for the
2024 Support Project for the Introduction of Large-Scale Storage Batteries under the Tokyo Metropolitan Environmental Public Corporation.
