The Vision Behind GridSure
GridSure serves as an integrated control and asset management platform utilizing data-driven insights and cybersecurity tools to improve grid capacity and overall system resilience. The platform is currently enhancing its services across significant network operation centers (NOCs) in North America and Europe. This positions GridSure to better serve an increasing number of utilities, large energy users, and data center clients globally. As CTO, Taschik will spearhead the charge in developing new functionalities to ensure GridSure remains at the forefront of energy modernization.
Taschik's Background and Experience
Taschik holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the Hasso Plattner Institute in Germany. He was invited by Hasso Plattner, the co-founder of SAP, to work within SAP's Office of the CTO in Palo Alto. His career includes co-founding Dubsmash, a viral mobile application that boasted 160 million users before its acquisition by Reddit. Following Dubsmash, Taschik launched MyCrew and Masters, platforms that innovated social fitness and virtual training. Most recently, he served as CTO of Obé Fitness, overseeing substantial infrastructure upgrades and developing scalable software solutions.
Looking to the Future
In his new capacity, Taschik expressed excitement about the opportunity to meld deep technical work with the vital mission of shaping the future of electric grid infrastructure. "Modern power systems are crucial for integrating load growth into existing electricity grids while enabling renewable energy utilization and decarbonization. I look forward to tackling these challenges alongside an extraordinary team," he stated.
GridSure is geared towards meeting the increasing demand for dynamic, sustainable energy solutions, with Taschik’s role deemed critical in fostering innovation and scaling operations. His expertise and entrepreneurial spirit are anticipated to greatly enhance the platform's capabilities, ensuring that utilities and major energy consumers are equipped with the tools required to improve grid stability and support decarbonization efforts.
Derek Tugwell, President, and co-founder of UIG, emphasized that Taschik's experience in delivering cutting-edge, scalable cloud infrastructures makes him the ideal choice to lead GridSure’s growth. "His expertise will advance the innovation necessary for supporting a more dynamic power grid," Tugwell added. With the energy landscape rapidly evolving, Taschik's strategic vision could potentially alter the way utilities operate, facilitating a stronger and more resilient electric grid for the future.
