IGEL Expands Leadership in Healthcare with James Millington's Appointment
IGEL, a global software company known for its Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform™, has made a significant move to strengthen its presence in the healthcare sector of the EMEA region by appointing James Millington as the Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Healthcare. This strategic decision underscores IGEL's ongoing commitment to enhancing support for customers and partners throughout the region and reflects the company’s continuous investment in healthcare and other strategic growth areas.
In this new role, Millington will work closely with healthcare customers, field teams, and partners across the EMEA region to support the deployment of IGEL's immutable endpoint platform in clinical and care environments. He will be joining fellow CTO Jason Mafery, who oversees healthcare activities in North America, thereby providing specialized leadership on both sides of the Atlantic.
Millington brings extensive experience from his tenure with various healthcare providers globally, including leadership roles at Armis, VMware, Imprivata, and Citrix. He takes over the Field CTO role after nearly three years of leading product marketing at IGEL, where he has played a pivotal role in shaping the company's market position and platform strategy alongside CEO Klaus Oestermann. His background uniquely positions him to effectively communicate the strategic vision directly to customers and partners.
As healthcare organizations in the EMEA region increasingly seek modern, robust, and secure strategies for endpoint devices that improve patient care while minimizing operational risks, Millington's expertise will be invaluable. According to Matthias Haas, CEO and CTO of IGEL,
