Aqua C3.0 Pro, alongside AC-side solutions crafted specifically to withstand the extreme desert climates encountered in regions like the Middle East and Africa. This presentation not only highlighted Clou’s advanced technological capabilities but also reaffirmed its leadership position in the energy storage industry.
As part of Saudi Arabia's ambitious
Vision 2030, the nation aims to source over 50% of its energy from renewable resources by the year 2030. In line with this goal, Saudi Arabia is actively introducing advanced energy storage technologies to tackle major challenges commonly faced by renewable systems, such as enhancing electricity generation stability, increasing grid flexibility, and boosting overall energy efficiency. The Aqua C3.0 Pro was specifically designed to address these issues with powerful solutions suitable for the demanding conditions typical of desert environments.
The Aqua C3.0 Pro boasts an impressive cell capacity of more than 600 Ah, with a total storage capacity of 6.88 MWh housed within a single unit. It represents a significant leap forward in system efficiency, safety, and maintainability, achieving a notable reduction in total operating costs (TCO) by 10.63%. The design incorporates three core technologies that enhance its adaptability to the harsh desert conditions: advanced thermal management, AC-side adaptation, and bespoke sand and dust protection.
Advanced Thermal Management Technologies
The system's thermal management capabilities effectively counteract performance deterioration experienced at ambient temperatures reaching up to 55 °C. It employs a synergistic effect between an advanced insulated construction and a robust liquid-cooled unit to ensure stable performance even under maximum thermal stress. Moreover, to improve AC-side adaptability, the system integrates a powerful MV-skid solution that maintains full output performance at extreme temperatures, thereby comprehensively fulfilling the operational requirements of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Customized Dust Protection
To tackle issues posed by sand and dust intrusion, the Aqua C3.0 Pro is equipped with a sealed construction for its core components, along with custom dust and sand protection that significantly enhances operational reliability. This design feature proves essential for systems operating within rugged environments, ensuring they sustain high performance levels despite adversities.
Alongside the Aqua C3.0 Pro, Clou also showcased its advanced product line, including the liquid-cooled Aqua-C2.5 system, the CI Energy Storage Aqua-E233, and CLOU EMS, all catering to critical scenarios covering both grid-side and CI-side requirements.
