Brazil to Host the World’s Largest Energy Festival: ROG.e 2026

The countdown has officially begun for ROG.e 2026, the largest energy festival globally, taking place in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro from September 21 to 24, 2026. Organized by the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP), this landmark event promises to be a focal point for discussions, business opportunities, and cultural exchange in the energy sector.

With an impressive lineup of 13 international pavilions, ROG.e 2026 aims to gather contributions from over 650 companies, both local and international. The scale and growth of this festival is evident, with a 50% increase in attendance expected compared to prior editions, making the exhibition area 60% larger than it was in 2024.

Anticipating around 75,000 visitors from across the globe, ROG.e 2026 will utilize an expansive space of 117,000 square meters. The event highlights Brazil's significance as a hub for trade and investment, particularly within the energy sector. It is set to surpass the previous festival where nearly 11% of attendees hailed from international locations including the United States, Argentina, China, Norway, the UK, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Colombia, and Mexico.

Among the prominent figures expected to present during the event are industry giants such as Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of TotalEnergies; Maria João Carioca, Co-CEO and CFO of Galp; Tengku Muhammad Taufik, President and CEO of Petronas; Ølivind Tangen, CEO of SBM Offshore; and Magda Chambriard, President of Petrobras. These esteemed speakers reflect the global impact of ROG.e 2026, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the forefront of the festival's agenda.

In an effort to support international delegations, ROG.e 2026 will unveil a Global Access Program designed to ease the journey for foreign groups. This initiative will offer guidance, information access, and logistical assistance to enhance business opportunities within Brazil's energy markets. A highlight of the program will be the Global Lounge, a designated space for networking and meetings, where participants can connect with industry experts to better understand the market landscape.

The festival promises to blend networking, business, and cultural experiences, featuring 13 concurrent events catering to diverse audiences. Events slated to take place include iUP Innovation Connections, the Supply Chain Forum, the Multi-Energy Decarb Arena, a Literary Arena, interactive masterclasses, the EnergyRun, and a golf tournament, along with daily concerts and integrated social spaces throughout the festival grounds.

The event's website, https://roge.energy/, offers further details and registration information for participants eager to contribute to and engage in this monumental gathering of energy professionals and enthusiasts.

In conclusion, ROG.e 2026 represents a unique opportunity for global leaders in energy to converge in Brazil, highlighting the country's role as a key player in the future of energy and sustainability. It is anticipated that the festival will foster significant partnerships and showcase Brazil’s thriving energy market.
