Starting from December 2023, Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) will kick off its popular "Wakutetsu Stamp Rally" for a total of six events, inviting train enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike to participate. This time, the rally period has been extended to allow even more guests to enjoy the charms of train travel. Participants can use the Shinkansen and explore various exciting locations along the routes. This year, renowned train YouTubers Saito and ZAKI will join in, providing their recommendations for must-visit spots and exclusive prizes for participants.
Overview of the Wakutetsu Stamp Rally
The Wakutetsu Stamp Rally is a digital stamp rally that lets participants experience the charm of the Tōkaidō Shinkansen and the beauty of the local regions through their travels. By visiting various locations, participants can collect points that entitle them to enter a lottery for unique prizes.
Rally Details
- - Event Dates: July 3, 2026 (Friday) to March 31, 2027 (Wednesday)
- - Participation Fee: Free (Please note that any travel or communication costs incurred while collecting points are at participants' expense.)
- - How to Collect Points: Points can be obtained by riding the Shinkansen or visiting designated spots.

- One point per ride on the Tōkaidō Shinkansen.
- Limit of one ride per direction per day (maximum of two points per day).
- Points are collected by accessing a dedicated website via your smartphone while traveling at a designated speed. Certain areas may not allow point collection due to connectivity issues.

Points from Limited-Time Spot Visits
- Points can also be accrued by visiting specially designated spots during the rally.
- Three points per spot, limited to one collection during the event.
The summer-themed spots will run from July 3, 2026, to September 10, 2026, focusing on "Summer Research Projects."
